Versasec has announced the integration of Yubico FIDO Pre-reg with Versasec vSEC:CMS and vSEC:CLOUD, enabling enterprises to achieve full lifecycle management and simplify onboarding through the delivery of pre-enrolled YubiKeys to end users. This critical integration aims to accelerate adoption while significantly enhancing the security of multi-factor authentication (MFA) and device-bound passkeys.
According to a multi-regional survey of SME IT leaders in the JumpCloud 2024 IT Trends Report, a significant 83% of organizations continue to rely on vulnerable password-based authentication for certain IT resources. Additionally, even within highly regulated sectors such as government, fewer than 20% of agencies currently use phishing-resistant hardware tokens, underscoring a major security maturity gap that the joint Versasec and Yubico solution aims to address.
