Meeting the Revised MAS Technology Risk Management Guidelines

Dear Partners,

Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has released its revised Technology Risk Management (TRM) Guidelines in June 2013. The document presents a set of principles and best practice standards for financial institutions, to establish a sound and robust technology risk management framework, strengthen system security, reliability, availability, and recoverability – and to deploy strong cryptography and authentication mechanisms to protect customer data and transactions. Global and regional financial institutes have several months to prepare, plan and implement the requirements set out in the guidelines.

For more information on the MAS TRM Guidelines and how to meet the requirements posed in them, join our webinar and download our whitepaper.

[White Paper] Technology Risk Management Guidelines by Monetary Authority of Singapore

In September, SSH released the second version of this white paper, based on the revision of MAS TRM Guidelines. It examines the guidelines, highlights particularly significant and challenging requirements found within, explains the implications of the requirements in real-life operating environments, and proposes cost-effective solution approaches to addressing these. Examples of available security solutions offered by SSH Communications Security are presented in each section.
