Job Type: Business Development Executive/Trainee

Job Scope (Trainee is role supporting under the mentorship of the Business Manager):

A business development executive is responsible for researching and pursuing new business leads for the growth of the business, understands how to leverage real data and capitalize on business trends and opportunities. We are looking for executive who are customer-obsessed and ready to solve the changing needs of our clients. Candidates should have strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage a diverse team in an evolving industry landscape. The executive is expected to work on new business proposals and presentations which are a persuasive representation of an organisation’s products/services.

Job Description (In-depth focus on 2 tasks each month and select up to 8 tasks for internship period and report card):

  • To support the team in meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • To maintain processes, lead sources and pipeline status through following workflows, building depth coverage of key accounts, and managing Channel Partners’ expectation
  • To generate effective leads by expanding current regional prospect database and System Integrators within specified business sectors
  • To develop a targeted sales contact plan by attending industry events, building relationships with key prospects and monitoring competitive activities.
  • To respond promptly to reseller and customer inquiries in a professional and creative manner
  • To work closely with suppliers for better support and competitive advantages in the market
  • To enhance own personal development by staying informed and up to date with industry knowledge, performing tasks proactively in can-do altitude and quantifying outcomes for report card
  • To collaborate closely among colleagues regardless of job status, seniority, race, religions, languages, and orientation
  • To evolve new business proposals such as product bundling, benefit augmentation, volume sizing, cross selling, servicing and solutioning with complementary products
  • To deliver pre-sales and post-sales support by coordinating with operations, logistic and support teams
  • To ensure premises, assets and inventory are tracked and monitor promptly
  • To utilize logistics IT in optimizing procedures and cost
  • To plan and track the shipment of final products according
  • To perform duties assigned respective of DT Asia business development efforts


Job Requirement:

  • Preferably SIEM (Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematic) or Business graduate/undergraduate
  • Preferably has hand-on technical skillset
  • Driven and motivated by IT challenges, passionate about performance marketing
  • A self-starter who can spot new opportunities and provide solutions
  • Driven and motivated by results
  • Excellent communicator (oral & written), Strong presenter and negotiator
  • Well-organized, independent, and able to work well efficiently and effectively as part of wide and varied team



  • Polytechnics and above
  • Exposure to some Part-Time sales or marketing activities is preferred
